Manganese 13 (12-14% Manganese) Material Analysis Report
Manganese 13 (12-14% Manganese) Material Analysis
1. Material Overview
Manganese 13 (Mn13) is a high-manganese wear-resistant steel belonging to the austenitic steel category, with a manganese content of 12-14%. Through special casting processes and heat treatment, this steel exhibits excellent work-hardening ability and impact resistance, making it outstanding under strong impact and high-pressure working conditions.

3. Performance Characteristics
Work-Hardening Property: Under impact loading, the surface hardens rapidly, with hardness increasing from the original HB170-230 to HB500-550, forming a wear-resistant surface layer while maintaining core toughness.
High Toughness: Elongation ≥20%, impact toughness ≥140J/cm², suitable for high-impact environments.
Wear Resistance: 5-10 times more wear-resistant than ordinary carbon steel under high-impact conditions.
Fatigue Resistance: The austenitic structure provides good fatigue resistance.
